actually, if you use your photos for manipulations, you don't need them that perfect. as long as you don't under or overexpose, you can easily fix it in PS

I have this dark issue when it comes to trying to take pics in my own house. No light gets in because it's an old 1950's house surrounded by large trees. So, I guess I'll have to invest in some photography lights to get the natural light look!

hehe well maybe that's the dilemma in life: If we start out with happy thoughts it get's all messed up. But if we assume the worst from the beginning it only can get better...

That is so good. I try to shoot my own stuff as much as possible too, although sometimes I need specific things that I just can't attain on my own and then I have to turn to stock.

Yeah, sometimes you just have to find it somwhere else. If I have client and I need something really specific, I'll buy it from somewhere but that is a rare thing.
My library of image is getting bigger and I really need to organize!
