Kaworu was a real dick in the manga. He killed I CAT!! an innocent cat!! And after Rei sacrificed herself to save Shinji, he just bad-mouthed her! Right in front of Shinji! Seriously?! Shinji losses the only woman he ever truly loved & all Kaworu does is kiss him & badmouth Rei?! What a dick! See, this is actually why I like the manga even better! The characters are so much different! Shinji's more prone to annoyance & anger as apposed to crying & actually has a lot of balls to stand up for himself, Rei has a much larger role as Shinji's only love interest & actually grows more & more as a person thanks to her mutual feelings for Shinji, Asuka, while still a bitch, isn't as much of a bitch as in the anime, & Kaworu..... Well, I already described what a dick he is. Probably the character that really got the shaft. I mean, at least Shinji isn't crazy sexually confused in the manga. The anime version of Shinji had such a train wreak of a personality to the point where it was impossible for me to relate to. The manga version, I can in almost every way, relate to him on a personal level.
