another mask. this one i just finished. It has an articulated jaw.(i actually have a black wolf mask as well, but its impossible to get a photo of)

yeah the fumes are very bad for you, I keep all my resins in the garage and leave the room while they cure. But paper mache is a great way to make masks and its safe and doesnt really smell

They are actually paper mache coated in resin

Ooh okay, if its not too much trouble, how do you go about coating it with resin? With a paintbrush?

yep. How ever make sure it isnt a brush you need cause afterwards you will need to toss it.
Ive found out recently that this works better in warm weather cause it cures faster. If it cures slowly it will drip off. o.o

the mask is really nice...the fur on the neck looks Icelandic.i like some masks that incorporate leather or some real fur in the peice. so i would say i like using real fur. not in any way being rude in fact i say this to this artist..wonderful work and to all with upmost respect. thank you kindly for letting me share.

The disrespect aspect its entirely human emotion based depending on what the human has been taught as they grew. The dead animal is not going to give a shit. Haha. Besides, its a lot nicer to involve the skin in something beautiful and artistic as opposed to letting it rot. It does not even make good compost for the trees. Thats the flesh and bone's job.
And I respect that you have your opinion, i just personally disagree with it. I am not the lovey dovey animal/nature lover type.

Haha, interesting. I wouldn't disagree with it either, depending on where the skin came from. It would have had quite a bit of attention. There is a big moral difference between using parts of a different species as opposed to using parts from a different species, though.
