my partial suit. I was at califur with her on sat.Shes a coyote, though most people thought she was a wolf, so if anyone have any suggestions on changes that would make her more coyote like, that would be awesome.

This looks as close to a coyote as you could get without it being a real one! I don't think anything needs changing, its just that most people don't know the difference between a wolf and a coyote.

I think the mistake is made by lack of knoledge b ppl that see u : P But maybe u could round the cheek fur a bit and get a bit more ovale shap : ) But looks good anyway so

Your eye's are mesmerizing, and i think if there's a safe way to make the white parts more reddish that would look more Coyote like.

I don't know, I think she's fairly coyote-like. They typically aren't as white, but I think you did a good job. Otherwise, it's mostly size and the way the tail is held that distinguishes a coyote from a wolf, for most people.

its actually pretty good, I have limited peripheral vision, but considering I was at califur without a spotter it not to bad.

Dont worry about it. She defintly looks like a Coyote. Everyone just uses Wolf as a default. My Bunny was even called a wolf. And its very well made :/

I don't think the problem is that she doesn't look coyote, but that other makers and artists often over-exaggerate wolf features that get the two confused. She obviously has larger eyes in proportion to her head, large ears and a dainty muzzle, all things that are VERY coyote and not wolf. Alas, I see a lot of stylized artists and even some realistic artists that will make eyes larger, muzzles thinner and ears bigger in an attempt to make a "cuter" suit, so folks default to the more popular creature "wolf" when they see those that aren't.
Hell, my GSD suit (which looks NOTHING like a wolf, she has radar-dish ears!) has been called wolf more times than I can count.

fox i can kinda see, I think people forget that most wolves have pretty small ears. Except for maybe mexican wolves cause they live in the desert.

yeah then again you got those wolfaboos who draw their characters with enormous ears bigger than their heads so sometimes people get used to seeing what people draw over and over rather than the actual animal.

Such a wonderful suit, I love the colors and the texture of the for very much. Differing this suit from a wolf suit will be very hard though, since a lot of people (including me -_-) can't tell thedifference between even a real wolf and a real cyote (at least from pictures, in real coyotes are more slim I think). Also there are so many wolf-and fox-suits out there not being 100% perfect and looking a bit like one or the other...
The only thing I can think of are more pointy ears, maybe even a little longer or more slim at the base, to make them look longer in proportion.

yeah the problem is the best tell is the body shape differences, and for obvious reasons, theres no way to show that in fursuit.

unfortunately most animals get confused with wolves :/ even Nova does a lot of the time. But its because they are so realistic and wolves and coyotes are quite similar that they probably get confused.

I can certainly see confusing a wolf with a coyote, but nova doesnt look like that at all XD. the face structure is so different. XD
