In the Japanese version he still says Dattebayo but Believe it sounds more like something the younger Naruto would say, not so much the older one.

Well, depends on who you are. no, Naruto is the Dracula of ninjas for me, but I guess judging by the fanbase and freaishly obsessive fans, for some it could be the Twilight.

yes but while it may just be a meaningless saying in japanese, kids here in america would have been confused, so Cartoon Network (Because THEY originally had the rights to it, NOT 4kids) put "Believe it!" instead.

I love Naruto, and this rings true... I don't see this as a negative thing. Naruto really is trying to change the world... even if he does have an annoying habit of saying dattebayo too often.

I don't hate the show naruto but for the love of god I hate almost every single character there personality's are just so god damn common that every single one acts like the same characters I've seen in hundreds of animes and yes no freaking doubt did they fuck up the image of the ninja.

they translated Dattebayo horible into english and its even worse in german -> "echt jetzt!" (means something like "for real now!")
that sucks SO much...

A ninja got killed. Some other ninjas find him and start chatting over his corpse. "Oh NOES heez deaad!" just an example
Cutted
The same scene without corpse. Imagine the ninjas standing in a circle looking on the empty ground and saying: "Oh NOES heez deaad!"
