Backstory: Born to Elderfang Island, Bently found that for him, life was extremely easy and fun. He was always willing to help out his parents and would always try being attentive to those around him. Whether it was a neighbor that needed help with their home, babysitting some kids, or running general errands, Bently was always there to lend a helping hand.

One of his neighbors approached him one day to mention that he might make a great adventurer over in the guild located in Aerthervale Springs. They handed him a flier and told him that the guild was always looking for new members. Eager to join them, Bently thanked his neighbor and rushed back home, explaining everything to his parents. At first, they worried about it. They knew their son very well, and knew that while he was indeed a kindly soul, he could at times be a bit TOO kind.

He’d run into some problems here and there with helping out the wrong kind of people (almost becoming an accomplice to a theft because he helped them carry stuff out of a shop). They didn’t want him falling victim to those that would just take advantage of him and his big heart. Fearing this, his father initially told him no. He didn’t want his son becoming a criminal because they weren’t there to protect him. His mother on the other hand felt that maybe this might actually be good for Bently. She was worried, don’t get her wrong, but she felt like the guild would be more than capable of keeping their boy out of trouble.

It took some convincing but eventually, the father gave in and agreed to letting Bently go and become a guild member. Bently thanked both his folks with big hugs and rushed off not a week later to Aervale Springs.
