The equipment system is meant to be modular, so different configurations can be easily installed for people to have specialized roles. In this case, a sniper cannon! The backpack has a secondary stabilizing wing (though it isn't visible on this pic lol 9_6) and a deployable holographic targeting HUD that slips out in front of the pilot's eyes.

I totally botched the perspective on the sub-wings and should have a tack hammer taken to my hands. Yet another thing to fix later, though! @_@
