Physical design

Jubilee Gliders are warm-blooded reptiles similar to early avians.

Their plumage can have bright or pastel colours, but never dull. Black and white are not natural colours, and can only happen as a result of albinism/melanism.

Jubilee Gliders, as their name suggests, are incapable of true flight. They can glide form tree to tree, and can only stay in the air for a very limited time (exact flying skills depend on an individual's wing size and shape). This species is also good at climbing trees. They can hang from branches using their long prehensile tails and strong limbs.

Gliders have an excellent colour vision. They are especially adept at distinguishing greens. Their eyesight is binocular.

Gliders mostly eat fruit, although they can also eat insects. They have fanglike sharp teeth to pierce through the thick skin. Their tongues are birdlike in order to help them with preening.

Reproduction

Gliders require two individuals to reproduce, but there are no distinct sexes (Gliders living among other species can use any pronouns.). Each member will lay one egg (more will result in weaker offspring with a very low survival rate), which will then be incubated by the parents who will take turns.

Habitats

Gliders live in warm forests. They are extremely unsuited to cold climates. A Glider raised in a cold climate will have a weak immune system and troubles with thermoregulation.

This species tends to live in tree hollows. As they have no natural predators, they sometimes come down to the ground in order to scavenge, however, they are rather clumsy on land.

Culture

Gliders have a detailed language heavily based on the pitches of sounds.

Most Gliders do not have a set religion, instead relying on beliefs such as destiny and karma.

Glider culture is heavily based on gift-giving, with many holidays being dedicated to it.

Mating rituals

Jubilee Gliders are generally monogamous. Both parties will groom themselves to the best of their ability and offer gifts to each other. Grooming each other's back is considered to be an intimate display and not appropriate in public.
