I wanted to go back to a piece I drew a while back and wanted to redraw and try new techniques I’ve been trying to get my head around. I used photo reference for the characters and background. © Free. I used adobe photoshop CS6 to draw the bulk of the image with sketch reference. The brushes used where photoshop standard oil, water colour, pastel and a custom swirl brush. It took roughly a day to get to this point. The magic effects are from a smoke brush collection. I used lens flaire and lens effects for some light effects. I admit that I started doing this as a different piece and had drawn the two figures of Hermione & Ginny already. I changed the light on them to work better with the background. I could probably go on trying to refine it but, I think I'll stop before I over do it. It probably took 2-3 days work in total to get to this point.
