As a Mage she'd always been hunted, when the Knight came into her domain she expected him to try to kill her.

Her eyes stared off waiting and praying that he'd show mercy..

"To you I pledge my sword." he said.

Her heart was surprised and hopeful. Finally a Knight who did not see her as a threat but as someone worthy of protecting.
