Another comic. Post game, and slightly AU-ish (hence Zelda's tunic) Chose to color this one now.As for how Link got mauled in the first place, IDK, since this is a postgame kind of scenario, you can imagine that some rebel lizalfos/bokoblins tried to take revenge on Link/Zelda and one of them managed to run Link through before Link defeated them and as you can see, neither Link nor Zelda had any potions or fairies on them so they had to send Groose to get Professor Owlan since I'm sure the guy knows something about medicinal herbs (since he is all obsessed about plants lol).

I like to imagine that this is right after the Demise fight tbh. Link used up all his potions and fairies to fight Demise and he got wounded and tried to hide it after the battle by using his sheild to block the wound from view. This is a what if scenario in my mind that what If Link passed away shortly after the Demise fight. Anyways Link hid his wound and was gonna go back to Skyloft but he just couldn't find the strength and he collapsed. He fell to his side shocking everyone. He dropped his sword as he fell and his sheild rolled away from him. Zelda and Groose both saw blood on the side of Link's tunic and they rushed over to him. Zelda turned him over to notice the fatal wound Link received. Groose grabs Link's bag to look for potions but realizes there is none. So he gets up and tells Link to hold on and he'll go get help. He tells Zelda not to worry and to do everything she could to keep pressure on Link's wound. He left saying he'd get Owlan. And that's when the comic begins for me in my head canon.Β
