This came out absolutely wonderful. I especially like the blueish shimmer in her eyes and that you can really see each feather even though the painting is quite small. It's such a high level of detail.

And owls are just great! They often look so incredibly sleepy during the day.

Yeah, I absolutely adore owls! You're right, they look quite sleepy, though to be fair they've probably been up hunting all night.

Beautiful Owl! I've always admired Acrylic on Canvas art work... but never actually tried doing it. I'm an oil on canvas artist... do you recommend that I try acrylic on canvas?

And yes, I do recommend... but keep in mind that you will need other things too, not just oil paints and brushes. The 2 main substances are the oil color mixer (helps in improving your color mix that you need) which is called Refine i think (these things are french lol idk), and the turpentine (acts as a brush cleaner... for when you want to apply a different color with the same brush).
