All Photoshop CS-whatever.I normally hate drawing on wacoms but painting dark to lights is a totally easier approach than drawing. For me anyways.
Well it did started off as a quick speed paint. Zooming in to refine some of the details took longer than anticipated. So, I don't know, maybe this process took an hour 30 minutes total. Sloppy slow paint is more like it.

Hmm, dark to light ... it looks great! The barely-noticeable color variation is a nice effect :3

Yeah I didn't know whether to start on the colours or not, but as I was thinking that I was already colouring the beak anyways. So after I decided no, I left it as it is. Sleep being the reason why.
