Some pony I designed aeons ago in 2018. I'm not happy about the cutie mark and some of the colour decisions, but I don't want it to go to waste. So here's her complete story:

She was supposed to play a minor role in my Courageverse as Minty's ex-girlfriend Velvet Brush.

She was a modern artist of high mind and broad intellect - completely uninterested in natural beauty, but absolutely obsessed with high effort performance art, including body painting, ominous poetry slam and imaginative space installations.
Naturally, her daring artistic vision and silent charisma would intrigue ponies immediately. It certainly was enough to make Minty fall head over hooves in love with her.

Fairly, Velvet at first had a genuine interest in her (though it might have been more due to flattery and ).
But she mostly needed musical back-up for her art shows. As well as someone who'd cook for her. And keep the bed warm...

Since Minty had never been in another relationship before (nor had witness a couple in action), she would not catch on to this at first. She enjoyed the simple togetherness and didn't mind playing her part in a "functioning household". She even excused the sometimes harsh restrictions Velvet put on her music, forcing her to play more monotonous and somber tunes.

Eventually, Minty was ordered to play for hours in empty galleries, and Velvet paid less and less attention to her even at home.

Minty repeatedly asked for a heart-heart, but Velvet wouldn't hear it and became colder and more belittling with every day. But in her own interest, she proposed a "compromise": More kisses and physical affections in return for Minty's "best behaviour".

But even someone as generous and reasonable as Minty would not fall for such foul trade, and in a desperate move that involved a lot of hidden traps, she ran away from Velvet's home and moved undercover.
Soon, she would leave her old hometown in Trottingham and travel mainland Equestria as a freelance musician, determined to never get trapped in a gilded cage ever again...
