Nice to meet you, stranger! Welcome to the “Prancing Apple”. Take a seat and make yourself comfy! Don't take this the wrong way, but you look utterly bushed. Here's a “Golden Dream” - it's on the house.
I'm Orange Sunstar, from the Orange Branch in Manehattan. My sisters and I run the "Prancing Apple", you know? We wanted it to be a place where travellers like you can find a place for the night... or something like that. It's not a hotel, but we DO want to give a home.
(laughs) Of course - you wonder why we called it "Prancing Apple"! I agree, it's a little unorthodox, but, see: We're actually part of the Apple Family, and when we were very little, Mom and Dad would sent us to our relatives on Sweet Apple Acres.

They said we were safe there, and they would come after us later... but sadly, they never came...
It's not their fault, of course - Manehattan was under siege back then - it'd be a wonder if they came through.

It shames me a little, but I'm not missing them that much... I know - it's horrible! But... I'm not a pony of sadness. I like joy and cheerfulness, and I got much more of that in Ponyville - so many friends there... so many crushes... the years on Sweet Apple Acres were the best of my life.

Not to mention how much I learned from my Aunt Apple Bloom! She knew so much about chemistry, you know - gave me my first chemistry kit when I was just as high as this bar! And when we dreamed to make it big in the city, she did all in her might to support us. I miss her so much...

Thanks, that’s really nice of you! I hope she’s okay, too. But Ponyville is not as safe as Canterlot, and Sweet Apple Acres is so big…

You're looking at the picture there, don’t you? The one with the pink and the orange pony? Apple Bloom told me about them - Applejack and Pinkie Pie, the Elements of Honesty and Laughter. They were part of my family.

'Bet you know the old stories. Like, when one day the coming of the Sixth Princess was announced, the Elements of Harmony all went to the castle… and only two of them returned.

Fluttershy became the new princess, of course, but nopony's sure what Pinkie Pie did. Some say she went to Cloudsdale. Living up there with her family. She didn't even want to talk to anypony... she must have been really sad...

You know, I don't talk about this very often ... it seems inappropriate... but I saw her some years ago. Yes, really! She returned to Sweet Apple Acres for one night. I heard her talking with Apple Bloom and Big Mac. The poor thing sounded totally devastated… She seemed to blame herself. They wanted to give her some comfort, but she was gone the day afterwards, and nopony saw her again.

*Sigh* I know we shouldn’t live in these past-time stories. But this one’s baffling me. Why didn't they do anything? And where did Pinkie Pie go after all these years? These darn secrets drive on crazy...
... I’m awfully sorry... I got carried away here. Where are my manners... Do you want an "Iced tea"? Another "Golden Dream"? The "Apple-Kneel"? Look around and talk. I’ll promise you won’t stay lonely this night - he, sweetie?
