The look on his face counters the visible wounds in his chest. The feeling that I get is that he rises above the physical pain to the point where it doesn't mean anything to him. Like they're not there

This picture is so powerful. It's interesting that you drew 1964-1966 instead of his more famous 70s John.
But overall, the best part about this is how you have his hand pressed up against a glass wall. It makes it seem like he's isolated from the rest of us because of the bloody gun-wounds in his chest.
...but wow, just absolutely incredible!
