I learned how to do a feather painting XD (This is Temeraire from the book series)It's a peacock feather.
I obviously need to plan out the shape of my painting before I do the background, because I ended up covering most of the pretty iridescence of the feather --_--

The thing I learned that helped a lot is to do many layers of the background paint until it's like a canvas (you can start with thinner paint)
