Description Church of the Epiphany in the village Kostino (Ryazan region) was built in 1700. After the Bolsheviks came to power the Church of the Epiphany has been closed and nearly destroyed. Completely destroyed the temple wall paintings, icons, church utensils and bells. The building of the temple was used to install water drive the tank (the tank in the photo is hidden under a wooden shelter).

Today, this once beautiful temple is in dilapidated condition and the cause of pity and compassion. If you do not start urgent restoration, reconstruction of the temple to be exact, that soon we will lose forever the monument and church architecture.

God knows, Christianity has something to be proud of - but what can be proud of atheism? The ruins?

while i disagree with your last statement, i do love this photo, well done. i also think that ruins hold a certain beauty all their own. theres something inspiring and mysterious about them, a kind of emphasis on the idea of the past and the romance of lost glory.

Maybe I spoke too harshly ...
But you're right - ruins make a great romantic impression. Sadness, grandeur, a reminder of some mysterious events ...
