i hate chuck austen for killing skin. and for putting the wrong name on the headstone.
now that chamber and jubes are depowered i'm considering reading new warriors but i can't stand jono's apoca-face.
i don't know what makes me angrier... that sean is dead and penance is now being called "hollow" and wandering around somewhere with the old green goblin... or that the "new x-men/academy x" kids replaced gen x with a slew of ridiculous powers, some of which overlap with the tight-knit gen x group.
man, marvel has really screwed gen x fans over.

God!! I know! I hated the fact that they killed Skin altogether, but that they spelled his name wrong too!
Yeah, after Genx I decided never to buy no more "In-training X-men" books since Marvel seems not to give a hoot what happens to their teen characters even though I was tempted to buy them.
I just heard that a whole mess of those new kids died aswell, now I dont feel bad for buying it.
I'm actually quite exited to buy New Warriors soon, since it does feature Jubilee and Chamber, I hope they both get repowered and not screwed up!
Im actually in the plans to do another group picture of the kids, which im completely exited about.

That's great! The part where you're doing another group picture I mean. I'm working my way up to doing some Gen X art... just finished a pic of an original character at the Xavier Institute for a friend of mine, so I'm shifting gears back toward X-students again.
Monet is about the most consistent, but I hate how all the writers after Lobdell completely changed the "origin of Monet and Penance" to whatever they thought made the most sense. I read somewhere Scott Lobdell never meant for there to be a real Monet, just the twins. Which makes me want to know who Penance was meant to be.
And yeah a bunch of those new kids did die. Like... a school bus full of them and then some after that. I only found out about it after the fact when I bought Messiah Complex, but it definitely happened.
Sorry this is so long, just not a lot of people to talk to Gen X about haha. I look forward to seeing your new group shot when it's up.

Nah man dont apologize for the long letter, I completly understand you. Its nice to chat with someone who actually knows about Gen X for once.
Monet has been lately the most consistent of the characters and I hope they do reunite all the Gen X survivors eventually, including Ms. Frost.

It is sad that 616 Blink only lasted for two issues but I am glad Blink is finally in a series.
