Description
I slept; the land was touched with the first snowsince summer last had woke this resting world.
We go to sleep again; we shall not grow
until cruel warmth the dreaming buds unfurl.
Today the sun sets. Here begins our night.
We pull covers up against the coming cold.
We are stuck. These days the sky drains of light
and with every day that passes we grow old.
In the blank empty air mute winter looms;
the sky darkens, shivers, it almost weeps.
All I can do is hide in my warm room:
I curl into bed and fall deep to sleep.
Yet after all winters and summers go
my life will still be filled with snow.

I enjoyed this piece. It is very slow and reflective seeming to me. The last two lines are my favorites:

I was thinking the same thing about the errors, but it seemed like it was intentional for some reason.
For this being your first sonnet, I have to say, it's a tremendously written piece. What inspired you to write it in this form?
