Oh geez guys I haven't been active here in years, I feel so lost and out of the loop.
I'm not even sure anyone I've ever known here is still active.

Sound off if you're still here!

Anyway, I found myself wanting to post this year's art summary.

This year I definitely didn’t get to draw as much as I wanted – rough to remain inspired after the end of a full workday – but the art I did make turned out pretty freaking cool! I tried new techniques like pixel art and CSP’s border effect for lineart; even designed myself 2 shirts! I also managed to sneak some creativity into my full-time work – I drew some pictures to make some students’ tests more exciting (some Martians for August and the hamsters for September were made to illustrate tasks for IT students at our university) and I had a blast doing that.
And finally, I’m ending this year and starting the next one with some book illustrations! How cool is that! I’m illustrating a children’s book; what you see at November is a pin I designed with the main character, and December is the book cover. Now I’m busy working on the 10 illustrations that will decorate the inside of the book. I fell in love with the characters I designed so I’m really enjoying this journey.

What I wish for next year is to have more inspiration to draw more frequently. I often feel like I’m drawing for no one and that’s pretty demotivating unfortunately. I’m gonna try to find a creative community to join. That’s one goal. I also want to be more active on social media – sharing what I’m doing more often hasn’t become natural to me yet – that’s the second goal. And thirdly, I want to create sooo much more fanart! I have so many fandoms I love so dearly and have yet to draw for, that’s a travesty. I’ll try to rectify that.

Here’s to a better 2022! I’m expecting some huge life changes next year, but that mostly depends on me, so… good luck me!
