Chainsketch forElee asked for "Fett's favourite character in Fett's favourite setting in Fett's favourite pose".
Which was, I thought generous of him (in a way - if he wants to be nice he can say "a blank piece of paper" and give me a gorram rest!) and so I thought "okay - by character he means 'girl with muscles'" and thus struck Heath Ledger's Joker from the possibilities. Along with many other jokey things.
And so I sat down to draw Caitlin. And then I realised Elee's dastardly plan! By asking for my favourites he had forced me to do something difficult and challenging and work on it double time! How cunning!
But meh, it wasn't coming tonight. I just wasn't happy with it. So I thought I'd try to just get her face down so it's in my short term drawing memory for the next go.
I had a piece all laid out in my head.
Then, I drew this face. Just to loosen up before I went to bed. It was Caitlin, but she was made-up. And honestly, I just drew it out of nowhere - gave her the prom dress and the mystery gift, and was pleased with the results. There's some problems, sure, but her face and the atmosphere of the piece - I just like it.
I have to wonder what's in that box...

I like this piece. It's nice a gentle and she seems genuinely happy, which is why I'll not tell you what's in the box.

i like the image. The only thing that throws me is the muscles. I've seen alot of other images of Caitlin like that. Her mad strength is due to her Gen Factor. She's not super jacked. But that's just my personal thing. It really is a great image though, i love her expression.

As for her being "super jacked": first, I think in this and the "Help Me Home" picture, I think I just over pronounced her biceps - i.e. I gave them too much of a peak which is a little distracting. But, I think Caitlin should be "super jacked". She's one of those superheroines that makes sense in being very well built.
The reason for that (and this is my own arbitrary opinion on the matter so feel free to disregard) is because she's a genetically engineered super soldier. IO specifically designed her to be a perfect human. The ubermensch. So she's very tall (6'3"!!!), and she's built incredibly well. Her muscles would be full, perfectly proportioned, and her metabolism would keep her in perfect shape. So she'd be very physically imposing.
HOWEVER! She's *Caitlin*. Caitlin doesn't think of herself as a super soldier with the strength to throw cars. No. She thinks she's still a scarecrow brainiac. And you know what? She doesn't eat properly. She eats anything she likes. Now, the gen-factor thing would keep her body going at a great performance no matter what rubbish she ate (yay gen-metabolism) but rubbish in, rubbish out. So she's got more fat than she should have, making her a bit softer, giving her a bust, and making her, all in all, less severe.
In that sense, I try to draw her soft and bulky and that helps, I think, keep her unique from all the other slim, d-cup superheroines out there.
So, maybe, it doesn't throw you as much anymore.

You've put more thought into it than i have. I think with her being super strong due to her gen factor, yes she would be very muscular, but i think, and apparently the so do the original artists, her muscles would be very toned. She'd be more cut than jacked. I don't know, i just like her long slender build from the comics and whatnot.

See, I'd agree that she SHOULD be more toned than jacked, but to do that she'd have to do regular exercise and eat lean. Which is what she's meant to do.
But I imagine Caitlin just chows down pizza and ice cream. And that would add bulk more than anything else.
