Description
So I was looking through Mark J. Barrett's stock photos and I found this amazing picture which I immediately decided that I had to draw (or at least try..). And now I've spent a looong time working on this picture which I still can spot things that I could improve.I am still happy with it and think that it looks a lot like the photograph, which was my intention
I hope you guys will like it too

This is so very beautiful!
I love the intensity of the colours, especially the snow-wight mane as well as the background. I really like this a lot. It's so simple and natural but still very capturing. And somehow the horse looks calm and knowing with so much grace about it though... I could look at this for hours...

Because I began some years ago a drawing with one of these pictures, but I can't remember his terms of usage, so I am afraid of finishing it ...

Well I figured since I wasn't using the actual photograph only looking at it, it would be okay.
So no I haven't asked for permission,maybe I should though,
but I really didn't think there was anything wrong in painting someones photograph :S

Hmm I began traditional graphite drawing - just for more or less practise ^^
And I would like to show on DA and maybe someday on an own homepade (with credits and so on)

I really like the softness and elegance of the shadows and the light. The picture seems to come quite alive. The look in the horse's eye is fabulous---very vivid, alert, and somewhat mysterious. You've captured the equine spirit beautifully

it looks better than the photo. The colours and the contrast are much more intense... makes the whole picture a lot better.
