I agree, the colours do look nice together; very fiery. And crayons do have their purpose in the artist's repetoir.
I like how the tail almost blows in the wind around it while not being too "all over the place" and uncontrolled. And about your interpretation of a phoenix...I was just wondering how you believed fire would come into the mx(because one of the most prominent characteristics of a phoenix is the fire).

Oh for me, the phoenix appears in a flash of fire, but I don't like them flying around with like flames or something. I HAVE drawn a phoenix with fiery wings though X3

The colors are so vibrant! ^_^ About a month ago, I felt the urge to color with crayons, so I made a giant picture of the little mermaid (only she's Indian and has a goldfish tail, and is in a lotus pond) that's now on the wall of our playroom/craftroom/thing.
