You wanna know something interesting? I think that girl there is a symbolic image of Maria, the opera singer that Celes impersonated. Wanna know why?
Kefka was abandoned at birth, right? He later grew up, and after joining the empire, developed a small crush on Celes Chere.
Celes looks a lot like Maria, the Opera Singer. Which means Kefka has a natural taste for people that look like Celes/Maria.
The Monster Tower thingy you fight before Final Kefka is called "The Three Tiers of Maria, the Fallen Angel".
Maria and Palazzo are both Italian names.
Could it be that Maria the Opera Singer is Kefka's mother? She may have become a "fallen angel" when she abandoned her baby to fulfill her dream as an opera singer.
