Everything about Barret has always been really difficult to get down with a pencil and paper(wacom not withstanding), which is obviously why not many people have drawn him. The muscle structure on the FFVII game artwork is insane, and again, it poses problems for most artists who want to draw him.
Now, as for this, it's got a more 'reasonable' look, while he's obviously bigger than what Cloud would be, he's not ridiculous and bulky. I simply love the additional bullets that you've got on the belt, the 'cobbled together' belt buckle is probably the right way to go(I might make the belt look more aged to fit with the Slums) the only thing that's missing is the tattoo on his upper left arm. His Gunarm isn't what I'd imagined exactly but it still looks really cool.

He reminds me of mr. T but with a smaller hawk-hair
but nice job on the lineart though it's awesome ^^
