High Tide is a unicorn from a small island community off the coast of Equestria. Growing up, she was always near water and sea creatures, and spent many afternoons with her closest friends stringing shells into jewelry and catching some waves. As a filly, she once stumbled across a beached dolphin, and got her cutie mark after helping it back into the water. Now that she's older, she works as a marine vet, and has a small clinic on the edge of the island where she attends to sea creatures that are hurt or sick. The animals that can't go back into the wild stay in one of the many lovely habitats she's built for them, where they can live out the rest of their lives under her care.

Kaboom is somewhat of a...troubled pony. They've always delighted in disruption and destruction, and have gotten in trouble on several occasions for breaking things or disrupting the status quo. An explosives expert, Kaboom is extremely talented at controlled demolition, and while they mostly use their talents to knock down abandoned or dangerous structures to make room for other ponies, they have been known to knock down a mansion or two if they feel that the owner of it is exploiting the ponies around them. In their free time, Kaboom plays guitar in a garage band with a few of their buddies, where the music is more loud than it is good.
