•Sparkling Royal is the son of Rarity and Prince Blueblood, and the result of a quick love affair that burnt out nearly as quickly as it'd flared up. Though Sparkling Royal did spend many summers at his father's estate growing up, he mainly lived with his mother Rarity. He is Rarity's pride and joy, and as a colt he was practically glued to her side. The two of them are very close and take weekly trips into town together to visit the spa, get lunch, and browse the shops.

•Sparkling Royal makes beautiful jewelry, and inherited the ability to perform Rarity's gem-finding spell, which makes gathering materials easier. Though Royal does have his own jewelry store, much of his wares are sold in his mother's boutiques all over Equestria.

•Sparkling Royal inherits his dramatics and eccentricities from both his parents, and can be a little spoiled as a result of Rarity's doting and being waited on hand and hoof at his father's estate. Still, even though his spoiled attitude and diva act can get old, he always means well. If someone lets him know he's coming across as rude, he'll do his best to fix his behavior and make it up to the other ponies.

•Like Rarity, Sparkling Royal is a romantic at heart, but even though he's very charismatic and naturally flirtatious with most ponies, he can get shy around those he truly likes. His love language is giving and receiving gifts, and the more intricate and gorgeous a piece of jewelry is, the more he likes the pony he's giving it to.

•Though Sparkling Royal does live near Rarity and has a closer relationship with her, Prince Blueblood does make it a point to visit him or have him visit a few times a year. For all of Blueblood's self-absorption, he does love his son, and plans for Sparkling Royal to one day inherit his title and estate.

•Sparkling Royal will one day inherit the element of Generosity from his mother, making he and Shadow Dusk the only two new Mane 6 members to inherit their elements from their parents rather than one of the other original Mane 6.

Sparkling Royal is part of my NextGen MLP Series, BeetleVerse! He's probably my favorite out of all of them, so he's the one I draw most often. He's a reworked version of Sparkling Gala from a Rarijack design, but in this universe they do not have children together, so his design and backstory needed to be changed. Hope you like him as much as I do!
