History:

What a happy life.
Juliete grew up in a happy home as an only child with her foreign parents. Meeting in their mid 20s, her father was a travelling medicine man, selling rare stock, when he met her mother. Though it was a rocky start to their relationship with her father being instantaneously smitten and her mother sarcastically putting him off at every turn, they eventually found something in one another that led to a love neither of them could deny. After traveling together for a few years, they finally decided to settle down, running their own ranch together.

Years later, Juliette was born of a happy marriage and couple.

Her childhood was a calm and steady one, growing up peacefully and with everything she could ever want. Her adventurous heart and love of discovery came from her father, while her strong will and overly compassionate soul came from her mother. It was a mix that led to a spontaneous and impulsive child who would come to love and cherish everything and everyone.

As she became of old enough to help her father with the medicines, she begins to accompany him when he journeys off for the day to collect herbs and all sorts of ingredients for their medicines. One one such excursion, she met a boy from a town two villages over, by the name of Tai. It was a chance meeting - a crying Elven boy with a harsh scrap near the outside of a town they were entering, and an apothecary with his apprentice findign said boy, able to help him quite immediately. He was thankful for the help, bringing the two home to his parents where he more or less insisted they stay for dinner. Juliette hit it off with him immediately, noting that the boy shared a similar adventurous streak - one that got him into trouble, much like herself with her own parents. Every trip to the village resulted in Juliette and Tai running off to play together while her father continued his business, solidifying their friendship for years and years to come, never missing each other whenever one was in the other village. They became inseparable, and as time passed by, Juliette would come to realize that she couldn't imagine ever being without Tai in her life. He made her happy.

Juliette grew to learn more about all medicines and herbs, dabbling in her horn magics whenever her father would allow her to learn from him. She read endlessly, every day, hours a day.

In her teenage years, and a capable apothecary, Juliette was ready to travel further for her advanced studies in all areas of scientific studies. Being an apothecary wasn't enough, she wanted to learn alchemy, advanced biology, physics, all of the things that she wanted answers. Her last father-daughter outing to Tai's village doubled as a farewell until she could return. It would be the same for Tai, as he pursued becoming the people's shield; he had decided to become an officer, to help all in need. She wasn't surprised with his decisions, and promised to support him if he promised to always be safe and come back to her. With his ring and a symbol of his promise - a kiss - the two began their separate journies with little more than a promise to one another and a keepsake. Their bond being the string that tied them to one another for the next few years.

Once she returns home, full of knowledge and certifications, Juliette takes her place at her father's side as apothecary apprentice, able to man the store and lab on her own, as needed. This was something she prided herself on.

Tai makes a reappearance in Juliette’s life barely a month after her return, returning home himself as he heard the news, and after rekindling what they had, confesses his love to her. With their mutual feelings expressed, the two began to date for the next several years, allowing Juliette to gain all she has wanted to in order to move her life along further and for Tai to gain his title as Police Captain, sacrificing years to climb his way there before Tai proposes to Juliette. They were married quickly, within a few months, both having their home villages in attendance for the children they had grown for so many years into the fine people they were now, before moving into a home they built together in the village in between their hometowns. Julie unexpectedly became pregnant quite soon after, taking the time to prepare as many medicines for the apothecary her father owned before taking it easy, per Tai's orders. He wanted his sweet, little wife to live in comfort as she carried their son, always attending to her whenever she needed help or felt ill. She lived in absolute bliss with the man she loved, in a village she loved, surrounded by people she loved, with a little life that she already adored more than herself growing within her.

Their son was born months later and named “Aiden Li Zelkova”, a name befitting of a baby boy who will grow into a strong, young man.

After Aiden’s birth, the family of three live happily in the village until disaster strikes. As a law enforcement officer, Tai takes his job seriously and has a strong sense of justice. He, of course, sensed the corruption of of a well-known group of bandits, covering up as a charity group, and had been in contact with other officers who worked beneath the radar, trying to put a stop to them and wanting to set things even for everyone. Tai found out something he shouldn’t have and becomes targeted by the very people he had served loyally for years. At their home in Laerre, the Zelkova's are ambushed and, in the process of protecting his wife and son, Tai is fatally struck. As he kept the pursuers at bay, with all the strength he could muster, gave Juliette instructions. His wishes. For her to live. To live, protect their son, and find her way.

That day, Taicligh Li Zelkova gave up everything - his career, home, and very life - to save his wife and newborn son to give them the chance they needed to survive.

Even with Juliette's innate and accidental use of Draco Meteor due to the emotional trauma she underwent, effectively destroying their home further and keeping her and Aiden safe from their pursuers, she could not save Tai.

Even after years of grief, and putting on the best face she could to never worry her son, Juliette never did recover from the heart break she endured that day. Every moment she had to herself, every time she was allowed a moment's rest to breath and relax, her mind would always wander to everything she lost. The last words Tai whispered as she retrieved him. After several years, she decided that this pain would never truly go away, instead choosing to always smile. To never frown, never cry, never mourn in front of Aiden. She never wanted him to think he wasn't enough for her to be happy. It was hard for a child, who had never gotten to know his father, to understand how heartbroken she was after decades together, but it didn't matter now. She knew so. Tai was gone, Aiden was all she had left of their family together. Juliette spent portions of the next few years training herself and taking care of Aiden, relocating as far from home as she possibly could so that reminders of Tai wouldn't haunt her as she tried to move on.

She had to smile.

With her certifications and knowledge, it wasn't terribly difficult for Juliette to find a growing community in search of a capable apothecary. She took the job, receiving a decently sized space for her work and living needs in what would be her new home: Bluhenburg.
