The Met. No Flash Photography Allowed. Shot Behind Glass. Grr, it's so damn dark. However, in this case, I think it gives it a cooler effect. This was my favorite of the displayed medieval helmets. I can't imagine attempting to look out through this thing, watching the enemy approach. A bit freaky and rather claustrophobic. I'm surprised anybody survived anything back then. I probably wouldn't use it to ride a bike, either. But, it is a similar shape!

Hahah, yeah. Though I'm sure it'd protect your head if you fell. You might just be a bit rattled and may not be able to hear for a week from the reverberation of sound. ^^

Yeah, I suppose. I guess if you had a nice bed to go home to and a warm meal instead of disease ridden meat and a hole in the floor to sleep in, I'd be a knight too. ^^
