This is SO awesome! I'm in the process of making a Link costume. Cool wig, also. I need some advice on how to cut the wig so it looks like Link though.

Shaggy and messy is good in my opinion. Have the back shorter so that the hair comes down in the front at an angle. Perhaps have the have in front of the ear come down in a subtle spike. I hope you have a better wig to work with than I did.

Yah but still, it was a very good costume from what I could see.
Very good hair, which is usually the weak point of most costumes; although it may have looked perfect if it were a bit darker.
But nothing's perfect.

Thank you. I do hope to acquire a much better wig. That one was really thin and bald in spots. I want to get one that's a bit darker and less plastic looking.

Whoa! O_o Awesome costume! I like that you didn't get really plastic looking things (chains, sword, etc.) And the colors you chose for the tunic are good too; it's a more foresty, natural tone of green, as oppose to some bright greens I've seen in other costumes. And I can see your brown hair peeking through the back of the wig, haha.
So, did you make this all yourself? Like the tunic and everything; because if you sewed that yourself, than you are TOTALLY awesome in my books.
Anyways, good job representing one of the greatest video game characters of all time.

Thank you! I tried my best to avoid plastic as clearly, Link does not wear plastic XD I did try my best to avoid unnatural colours to fit the forest look of the Kokiri. Haha yeah if I'd had longer hair, I probably would have gone all out and bleached my hair blonde and look like a silly beach boy.
I mad the tunic myself out of a bathrobe. I made the cap out of the lower part of the robe I trimmed so that they would match. Not featured in the photo were accessories I acquired including, leather strapped boots, tight white trousers, sword reminiscent of the Master Sword, white long sleeved shirt, and brown leather gloves with the figer tips removed.
Thank you very much. He was the first character I've ever tried to recreate and I don't think I could have chosen a better suiting character. I've always felt a nerdy affinity with Link. Haha and thank you. I was teased a lot for the lip ring not being Link like.
If/when I do this costume again, or rework the original, I want to have a better wig. This one was a cheap last minute one that I had to cut to size and shape. It was thin in areas and not realistic looking at all. Also I would want to recreate the pointy ears, and make the Master Sword look distinctly so.

You've got me there. As the photo was taken back in October it actually was for Myspace I hate to admit. I'm not a big myspacer but I was proud of my outfit and wanted to show it off. I don't have any good photos of it that shows the whole outfit. I still have it, so I hope to take better pictures at a later time perhaps.
