Incinta is correct, pregnant in Italian, BUT preggo = American English slang for a pregnant girl, and prego, are pronounced very similarly. Prego in Italian means "you're welcome." Like someone says "Grazie (thank you)" you can reply "prego (you're welcome)."Β
