i love the Fallout franchise. Fallout 1 and 2 are great and Fallout New Vegas is fantastic. i even harbor some love for Fallout Tactics. but there are some things about the Fallout franchise that leaves me depressed. most of all the fact that Bethesda owns the Fallout IP.
for those who don't know, the first 4 Fallout games, consisting of 2 main series entries and 2 non-canon spin offs, were made before Bethesda acquired the Fallout IP. Bethesda made Fallout 3 and 4 while Obsidian made New Vegas. the Bethesda made Fallout games do have their good points. but they pale in comparison to the Fallout games made by other developers.
