People tend to draw people that look similar to themselves. It's subconscious. What do we spend a lot of time looking at? Our own reflection.

Eheh, I know right? I love drawing big eyes, with bold lashes, and that's also what I try to achieve myself with make up
I also have thick brows, and a round nose, I think I reflect that in my art too, even on male characters!
