it`s a fern that grows in a desert like a tumble-weed.
it can go without water for many years.
if you give it water ,the ball opens up and becomes green in a few hours,
spreading a nice fern-scent.
when it`s water is gone , the plant rolls up into a dry,brown ball again.

Hmmm..that is very interesting and didn't know that The wiki animation is awesome it really shows the nature of the plant

This is one hardy plant to survive without life-water for years ...good skill
