Description
We only got one look at Bowser in his princess form in the Princess Mario story, so here are some the character sketches I made while working on Bowser's design.The "joke" on the last page of Princess Mario is that Bowser enjoys the perks of being a princess, but for that to work I needed to keep Bowser as a strong and menacing figure; even he wouldn't trade his RAD muscles just for some cake (probably).

The bottom right corner of this picture is something that was censored in the localized version of Super mario RPG. Ya gotta like how gestures of all things get changed upon localization right? The moooore you knooooooooow about video game sprites being edited.

Yes, I actually did reference his cut victory pose from Mario RPG, because I just think it's kind of a cool pose. Apparently its seen as a gesture as meaning "up yours" and I get that, but to me its always been more like a fist pump. When I see that pose I think of Rosie the Riveter showing how strong she is.
I guess I'm just too wholesome for Nintendo

The same sprite even appeared in gen 3 of Pokemon for the sailors in the japanese version and it was an animation for Inkling girl in Mario kart 8 until it was patched out. Nintendo really likes putting in a gesture they have to edit out in their games.
