Description I invented this model in 1995. First version of the model had mouth, but not eyes. When I discovered how to transform mouth in eyes the model improved very very much.
It is an easy model. Only 10 minutes to fold it.
I wanted to photography this model in nature, so like there is not a river in my courtyard, I made a little trek outside the village. The light green little frog was catched by the running water and died
The big frog is folded from a 5" square paper, foil paper with tissue paper.
The little frogs are folded from 3" of standard origami japanese paper and varnished.
I hope you like them.
Author of the model: Me.
Folded by: Me too.
Diagrams: Yes, in the web of the Spanish Origami Association. Look for "Diagramas" in the menu of the left, then "Diagramas nacionales". [link]

Oooo, frogs! And I recognized the word "rana" ^^ These are gorgeous. The smaller ones look especially realistic.

I love frogs. I used to have a green tree frog, so I was instantly drawn to these. I know how to fold a very, very simple frog but it doesn't look nearly as nice as yours.

You invented this model!
God, that makes you more than amazing.
I really like the way you make these origami animals then place them in their respective habitats; it's original.

How don't they get wet?
They're made of paper or not?

Figuer In reply to Ubersinnlich [2008-08-21 15:39:53 +0000 UTC]

They are made of paper but varnished. That protected them a bit. One frog got under the water and died, that poor thing

XD

E elas ficaram lindas, Figuer! Adorei!

Take care

Too cute! Sad about the green frog. I love how the light plays on the water and makes them almost realistic.

Figuer In reply to Ecc3ntricCYNIC [2008-05-21 12:15:16 +0000 UTC]

The light playing with the water was a casual effect; but I did my best to make a realistic picture.
Thanks for comment, and take care
