I hate to admit that the last time I read the manga was almost 10 years ago.  x_x  I'm pretty sure i got to volume 27??  I have some serious catching up to do.   But yeah, I'm not in too much of a rush since it seems only 1 chapter has been released a year, or so it seems.

Well, with it's endless streak of hiatuses, it's nothing to be ashamed of really. Indeed, even if you have some catching up to do, it's not like you have to stress about catching up with it either xP

Haha, that's probably one reason why I'm not dying to get further in the series.  I am, however, excited that they are going to be making more of the new movies.  I know they're not perfect and leave out a lot of details, but it's nice how they can bring a lot of the series to a point.  And it'll be nice to see some animation after the Eclipse.

There will be more movies? Wow, that's news to me. But pleasant news, and very much so. Yeah, i like to view the movies as some kind of "fan service" to the manga readers. Since as you mentioned, leave out a good deal of content, and really doesn't do full justice to the manga and the story of this series. But getting an animated look after Eclipse will be nice, indeed.

Yeah, I heard that they are supposed to.  We'll see if they actually come through.  I think the nicest part of the movies is to see that Berserk isn't "dead", and maybe the new popularity will get the creator to finish the manga.
