Hmm, I knew they intended to make Renamon's gender ambiguous, but didn't know actual male voice actors were used.

Well, the voice actor was actually doing great, so it sounded very natural.
It was strange that in the tamper-matrix-evolution there was a female voiced result, but as Rika was the dominant one all along, that also made sense^^
I also noticed some other language differences:

maybe it's because German pronunciation, but I think "Diamantensturm" sounds stronger than "Diamond storm" here.
Also the following snarl was in japanese more like a "huh". In english, it sounded much like a shout going "huaaah" while in the german version it more feral "guaahrrr"^^
Also, in the German version, Guilmon don't use the attack's names to appear more feral.

My source says they don't truly have genders. We merely assume they do because of how they appear and sound.

I barely remember the Digimon series she first appeared in. All I really remember is that she was kind of a jerk, like her Tamer, in the beginning.

Her tamer was the biggest... >.< in the goddamn series. All she wanted in the beginning was to be the strongest, didn't care about others, making renamon a cold hearted digimon in the first 5-7 episodes, she didn't care who she had to fight, as long as it gives her data. Then she felt like she had enough of Rika's ... things... and for a moment there, she felt like she didn't need her to win, she could do it by herself, so did rika. And stuff got worse as rika said that she hatted all digimon. It made me so sad when she said that she hated digimon, even after renamon almost "died" trying to save her from that icy dude.
