Except didn't Nintendo actually confirm the opposite a few times lately? Like for example this article , where Eiji Aonuma mentions Sheik as a form of Girl Power for the princess. And of course there's her latest appearances, such as Ocarina of Time 3D and Hyrule Warriors, which give her a more realistically feminine look, while still pretending to be a boy. Besides, if Zelda really did turn into a boy, then what would be the point for covering "himself" from head to toe?
Sorry for so many questions, but even after Nintendo making things more obvious after many years, it's hard to believe this is still going on.

Especially I haven't paid much attention to Sheik and since in the artwork and everywhere her/his body looks more maskuline and even in the manga it is said Impa transformed her into a man I thought that. But no, I am not up to date with those topics indeed Β Β

Yeah, about the manga, if you read carefully, you'll know that this is actually not the case either, but rather, she requested to have her mind put to sleep for seven years, while a male mind in her body does all the hard work for her instead. In other words, she took the easy way out, which is not a really good portrayal for the Princess of Hyrule, especially compared to what she did in the game, where Zelda managed to survive all those seven years of exile by herself, and that's something that took guts. Fortunately, that adaptation was never canon. But yeah, other than that...
