Dark Angels wore black during the Horus Heresy, not Green.

This has been retconned a few times, with different reasons and timing given for the color change.Β One of the explanations is that during Luther's betrayal on Caliban, the loyalists painted their armor green to distinguish themselves from the Fallen. One is that Green are Caliban recruits and Black from Terra. Etc, etc. Either way, decided to go with the green version for this one
