This shot has been on the to-do list for quite a while and boy was it worth it. This has got to be one of my top 5 most intense emotional portraits i've done so far. You can almost feel the passion and intensity.

Parted lips, eyes closed, a more natural hair color (perhaps a light auburn-red), a deep color for the dress which is vivid in comparrison to the background (red or green would seem to work best), head tilted back. I believe these things would make the image even more enticing, though all-in-all, magnificent shot!

Also, perhaps checking out some Paso Doble on YouTube would be a good source of reference because in essence the Paso Doble is about pride, challenge, passion, love, anger and perhaps even hate.
I would personally recommend watching Michal Malitowski & Joanna Leunis.

The overall idea is great, but I think the picture would be more powerful if you photoshopped her hair black and made her dress red (which conveys passion).
However, if you ever redo the photo I would have the models looking into each others eyes with longing, passion and wanton (otherwise with the knowledge that what they are doing [is] forbidden but they're going to do it anyway).
In this, there is something off about her expression. It's as if she's in a serene place, a world of her own, if you will, rather than with the person she's experiencing this forbidden form of passionate dance.

I simply adore the passion and emotion in this image. It's gorgeous. I love the pose as well, all the angles. It keeps your eye and has so much interest. I especially love the angle of her grounded foot. I love the contrast of black clothes and soft fair skin and that beautiful hint of colour the hair gives.
My only problem is that I like the black background but wish the guy didn't fade into it as much still. Like his feet and such. Thats my only real change I would like.

i dont know if its my place to critique... but its encouraged.. so what the hey:
first thing that hit me was the pose... its powerful, moving, and graceful.
then i looked at the models face, and it kinda toned it down for me.
see the lack of face on the guy, lets the viewer interpret his emotions from his actions, ie, the wide stance, arms on model's legs. the same cant be said about the model, because although her body language is there, her facial expression tones it down. she looks slightly amused, but not too concerned with the guy.
my eyes might be deceiving me, but i also think that the guys suit doesnt match, he's wearing a navy blue jacket and black pants
I also wish the guys suit style was more modern; the slim waist, very tight fitting. but then again those are a bit pricy, and you mighnt be able to move alot in them.
dont get me wrong, i love this pic!! it feels so sexy and romantic, dancing is one of the purest forms of expression.
i just stumbled upon on it while looking for dance move references.
