how do you use bases?? im new on devantart

Put your mouse over the base, right click and copy it. Then, pull up an art program like MS Paint, Gimp, Photoshop, etc. and paste it into that.
Then you can use the tools of the program to color it in with your own pony character. ^.^
Then after you've finished your picture, you can upload it to DeviantArt, and put in the description where you got the base from.Β
