Que fuerza debe tener en ese brazo para sostener a un muchacho de unos sesenta y tantos kilos...

It's a real photo with as little editing done as possible. Colors, shadows etc.

How on EARTH do you get shot like THIS?!?! Wow...I see shots like this and weep for the pathetic Cosplay pictures I have in my gallery...Wow....

You'd would laugh if you knew how simple it actually was. I dislike making things complicated. Simple is better.

Please, I'll ask that you don't berate your own work because of stuff like mine. Be proud of your work. Why? Because it's yours. Be content with what you have, but encourage yourself to move forward always.

Simple...hehehe. One of these days i'll actually take the to heart and make a Cosplay that doesn't require people the hold parts of my costume so I can move three feet! lol.
Seriously though, I can't even fathom how you did this!

I am a bit of a masochist (e.g. perfectionist)...I always do the best I can, but pictures like these remind me of how much further I could go. Like having pictures of my cosplays that aren't just random and in the halls...but I'm working on that! Or on a photography level, what sort of effect could I pull off using me own resources

Um, pardon me, but I wouldn't exactly call this description of your costume anything but awesome.

I mean just look:

Costume specs:
18 yards of cream 200 thread count combed cotton sateen
15 yards of fleece back satin
15 yards black lining material
35 yards goldish colored ribbon
3 yards gold heavy decorator fabric
one hat (covered)
one parosal (Covered and appliqued)
3 1/2 yards gold faux silk
46 buttons to cover
12 hook and eyes
24 yards steele boning
19 yards canvas
17 yards white organdy
10 yards white crinoline
7 spools of coats and clark thread
one pair of boots (laces replaced)

This "stair eating dress" is fan-freeking-tastic.

As for your question, what do you mean? What effect are you looking for? What do you have as a resource? I'd need more info to even attempt to answer that question. What are you trying to achieve photo-wise?

Well...I did say I was masochistic...I go for gigantic.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting myself down at all! I'm just saying that no matter how good a person is in Cosplay, no matter what they do in life, there is always someone out there doing bigger and more spectaular things. I'd like to think it gives us all something to strive for! This picture is just one of those things that makes me step back and realise just how much more there is out there!

and I didn't so much mean it as a question directed at you as much as a self reflection on what I can do to better my own photography based on what I have on hand. As in asking myself what sort of neat effect I think I can achieve using a "simple" approach.

I hope that makes sense! I'm afraid I'm not very good at explaining my thoughts when typing (Though i'm sure I make even less sense in person...hehehe).

I love your stuff, lemme just say that .

I hear ya, there's so much talent out there that at times it can seem overwhelming. So long as one looks at it as a driving force to improve, the sky's the limit.

... Wow. I want to ask how Cloud is suspsended in the air, but it'll kill the effect.

This is amazing *.*

I want to tell you but, let's just agree to say that we used pixie dust from Tinkerbell and we made him think "happy thoughts".

(I'm just kidding ok?)

Also, photoshop was not used to elevate him. There actually was that exact amount of difference in elevation between the two.

What did we use? Pixie dust.

Cloud thinking "Happy Thoughts" while fighting his mortal enemy? Somehow that does not compute XD

I can tell it's not photoshop, which is why it intruiges me even more. Hm... I'll see if I can figure it out on my own (I probably won't lol)

Either way, the effect came out brilliant!
