So I was sitting in the choir at church today and was looking at the angel on the front of our bulletin. The pastor was doing a sermon on angels and wanted specifically a male angel picture because he was so used to seeing female angels.It. Was. Ugly.
It was a very old CGI piece that had a very femmy face on a weird masculine body. Very creepy. I was horrified that they would put something that ugly on the bulletin, so I was ranting to my roommate about how I could easily find something far better for a male angel. Lo and behold, I couldn't. There are surprisingly few male angel pictures out there, and most of them are erotic or "artistic" nude.
So I set out to make one! This isn't really something that would work for the front of the bulletin, but I was happy with how it came out. The stock wings I used were amazing. If you want to do anything with wings, I would highly recommend them. High res, beautiful details, three colors, and perfect angle. What more could you ask for?

I always thought of angels as wearing robes. But that's probably because that is how they've always been portrayed in any media I have ever seen. Hmmm...I wonder....

lol!!!! if I saw this on the front of a bulletin i don't know how i'd react. but it looks amazing! at first when i saw the thumbnail i thought it was another flower XD
