Description
I wanted to draw these two since they were revealed. I made a few sketches, but that was about it. January I finally started with this painting. After finishing the (pretty messy) lineart- I got into an artblock
- started my free art campaign
- had to draw a ton of art trades and contest entries (not that I mind, really <3)
Well... in the meantime I didn´t really like the lineart anymore, but I still wanted to complete it. Just because. That´s the reason it´s not in my new, prefered cell shading style. And that it doesn´t have a real background. Meeeeh.:/

I love the realistic stylization you did with these designs, and I think this looks pretty cool even without very much of a background. To me, the dynamism in the poses and angle make up for it.
Is there any chance I could get your permission to use this in a remix video I'm working on of all the main legendary battle themes? I've been looking around for some really high-quality artwork to go along with my the X/Y section of the medley, and I would be incredibly grateful if I could use this. Of course, you would be given full credit for it, and a link back to this image would be provided in the video's description.

I´m glad you like my interpretation of these two. The designs of the new pokémon are so pretty and fun to draw, especially the legendaries. Xerneas is so majestic and has beautiful colours, while Yveltal is one of the most intriguing flying types ever.

If you had Yveltal at his real size compared to a deer like Xerneas, Xerneas would win in a heartbeat.

Naah, I´m not sure about that. The andean condor has a wingspan of 3,2m/10,5ft and is told to hunt even llamas and alpacas. If it catches a deer of guard, so it can´t use it´s antlers, the bird might win.
