Yeah, i had an angsty mood while drawing this...Reading Stripes' flashback, some of you was wondering why didn't Freedom Fighters trust him back then. Welp, THAT'S why. Maan, it was probably the darkest of Stripes' days so far. Explaining why was it so hard for him to share the true reasons of his actions with Secret Freedom Fighters tho.
Also, yes, this guy-in-the-shade is obviously Jack Rabbit from Sand Blasters. Actually, the fact that Stripes ran into theese guys after his escape from the Eggman Empire was just a reference. But speaking about it with JanikaCheetah and maxim-bmx here -->''Heroes come back'' Chapter 3 Page 7 , i decided to think about this idea as about the canon. IDK if it's a good thought or not. It doesn't change anything in Stripes' past at all anyway.

Страйпс: Нет.
Джек: У тебя было задание?
Страйпс: Нет. Я действовал по собственной инициативе.
Джек: И, конечно же, саботировал Империю всё это время, так?
Страйпс: Я не мог этого делать! Я не мог вызывать подозрений! Я собирал информацию для Сопротивления тайно!
Джек: О, ты про это? Полезная вещица, не поспоришь. Итак, подытожим. Ты по собственной воле стал легионером, годами верой и правдой служил Империи, а вся информация, столь удобно уничтоженная, была направлена против Эггмана?
Страйпс: ...Да.
Джек: Слушай сюда, енот. Еcли ты мне солгал - значит, ты просто еще один легионер, каких вы ловим пачками. Но если каким-то образом ты сказал правду, то ты ИДИОТ! Потому что по итогу ты годами служил Эггману и не сделал НИЧЕГО для своих любимых Борцов. Ты в пустую прожил свою жизнь!
Не торопись обдумать это.
У тебя будет уйма времени.

To be fair, Stripe's actions arouse a fair amount of suspicion. And when it comes to Jack's point of view, he handled it rightly: One must have little to no compassion when interrogating an enemy. Everyone feels sentiment for Stripes only because we know him; if we didn't, then we would think twice before trusting him as well.

Oh my gosh. That's so sad! But I feel kinda bad because I like reading this tied-up stuff...hehehe.. Anyways, it would he cool if you did do another comic this could be part of nightmare he had about his past. And someone woke him up and he told them about everything. --I really need to stop putting my ideas on here. But just sayin that the would be cool if it had a part 2. ☺ You're an awesome artist! You did a great job of keeping Jack in-character. He was always brutal and narrow-minded, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that he'd kick Stripes in the face like that. Lucky thing his arms came loose from behind the chair when he fell, otherwise they might have broken. I feel bad for his tail being pinned, though. Fluffy or not, that's got to hurt.
I love the way you do ears! They reflected his emotions just as easily as his expression did.
The only thing that confuses me is how he got transferred to New Mobotropolis. Maybe Beauregard tried to raid the Sand Blasters to get Stripes back (after all, his expertise in computers was really useful to them), so to keep him from getting rescued Jack grudgingly decided to send him elsewhere. LOL! He must have been really ticked when he found out Stripes wasn't imprisoned anymore.

Okay, Jack wasn't the most heroic character, but he brings up a fair point. Stripes did get information, but at the expense of lost lives. The information was 'lost', so his deeds meant nothing. Of course, the Sand Blasters morality doesn't value intelligence, caution, and strategy. Also, it was them destroying Stripes' information that made those sacrifices meaningless.
I guess from Jack's point of view, that information could never replace those lost lives so it was useless to begin with, but from Stripes' pov, that information could have helped prevent more lives from getting destroyed.

Сцена получилось мощной у тебя, а данная бумага добавляет атмосферы! Видимо, наши с Дженикой рассуждения показались тебе интересными.
