What happens when poor OrphanCountryBoyFantasy Hero sets out on his quest and has to meet his contact in a down and dirty cyberpunkfantasy bar... and meets all kinds of people he has no idea how to deal with?All the background characters are some kind of fantasy creature turned cyberpunk. It was all triggered from Cyberpunk Centaur (see earlier deviation)
It's for the #Realm-of-Fantasy "Sci Fi/Fantasy Fusion Contest" I tried to avoid the robots and magic, and instead concentrate on character archetypes. The Hero natually is an orphan boy from the country who was raised by other relatives (heaven forbid the hero has real parents who love him very much indeed). And the contact is the toughchick centaur with the purple hair (because 'all' cyberpunk tough characters are chicks with guns), who's thinking "jeez what kind of idiot is this I'm supposed to meet?" only in not quite so clean terminology.

Ha ha ha ha! I like your description of that typical character! It's so cliched! I'm so tired of them too... And I love how you depict him in a scene you don't usually find in these stories. Nice. His expression is priceless.

no he's not a sue because he's not godpowered etc... he's just a archetype cliche, which does actually work within narrative works if the writer is good.

because he comes from a line of kings, but has been hidden away because his kingly father was killed, and when he comes of age he can return to his kingdom and claim his throne XD

I find both sci-fi and fantasy are so wide as genre's themselves, to narrow down on the two I know something about. Cyberpunk.. and orphanturnedhero quests XD

I'm glad I approached the image as a project, and researched and planned it, because my initial thumbsketch was nothing like what this turned out to be. Which is why I did lots of ideas, so I wouldn't get stuck on the first bad one.
