Well i hope this image makes studying macbeth more bearable for you. I hated.it in school and now i love it lol.
You can tell your teacher I'm flattered she thinks my idea represents the play well enough to use in teaching

I was browsing through your gallery and this stopped me in my tracks. I just love how grim it is and to me it's got an oriental style to it, especially the witch on the left. Great work!

Freaky! i just finished studying this like two seconds ago! "Something wicked this way comes" Yeah, definitely the coolest Shakespearean characters.

Thanks ^^ Macbeth is pretty awesome, though I hated studying it in school and it's taken me another 8 years to actually want to study it XD

I like Macbeth cos it hasn't been as overdone as others, such as Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet. I think cos the main characters aren't as inherantly 'good' and 'likable' cos I want to throttle macbeth and lady macbeth most of the time, but that's what makes it interesting.

Maybe it's not overdone because it's bad luck to perform Macbeth in a theater? Like, actors have died by being accidentally stabbed or crushed by a set piece or something, it's really interesting. XD At the theater at our school its taboo to say Macbeth. So when everyone was studying Macbeth in English class we had to be really careful to say "McDonald" instead.

Thank ^^ I wanted them to look like they were there, but not really. Ghostly but corporeal.

Your illustrative style is really amazing! I love your use of line and the selective areas of color on their faces.

Thanks ^^ I let the line follow the paint marks, to keep maximum flow in the work. And the faces are meant to be reminiscent of masks, because these are just the earthly figures of the witches, as they are in fact supernatural beings. So why not a mask and cloak like figure? XD

Thanks ^^ It was originally drawn in pink highlighter, so the pink glows through everything else a little.

Hahahahahah xD WEW! We're both witches! xD
Yeah its so true xD They're easily the most interesting parts of macbeth regardless of them being spread through the story pretty scarcely lol

lol. in this version (ie my version) they're wrapped in big cloaks, when they stand together like this, they merge into one entity with 3 faces, but when they stand apart they are 3 women in cloaks
