Title suggested by my bf, he rocks. xDOverkill on the length of Orochimaru's Akatsuki cloak. That thing coming out of his sleeve is a snake and what in the world am I going to put in the background? There should definitely be something there because it looks so empty otherwise. o_o;
Actual size of the drawing I'm working on is 1313x2639. I don't know how I'm going to color it as I am rather horrid at shading clothing, I named this work in progress "Too much cloth". I realize that I always work from the top down, which explains the excessive sketchiness of the snake/robe's cloak. I should work on things more evenly so I don't get sloppy at the bottom when I get tired. Also, someday, I should figure out that line tool, my lines tend to be too sketchy even when I clean them up.

Just a suggestion if you want to work on drapery-- look at work where you like the drapery and do studies of it. (I look at CLAMP a lot... XD;; )If you'd prefer not to work from that and do observational drawings, cover an object with a piece cloth and do studies of that.
Working that big must be hard... I'd probably kill my comp if I tried that. ;;;; But I love how his face is coming along. Like you said, the top part of the picture IS a lot more cohesive than the lower half, but since it's a WIP, I'm sure you'll tighten things up. :'D I look forward to the finished piece, it seems like a very ambitious piece of work!

I see you're getting good with anatomy/body now, I like how you pose Orochimaru in a sultry way and his hair looks so soft there. I think his eyes tell ya how hes feeling now hehe looks sultry and sexy. Good job on this piece, tell your bf, he has a good imagination there

I have an idea for you...
how about something to do with a snake shedding it's skin? since Orochimaru leaves the akatsuki, it could work very well.
